Lucknow 14 Oct. 10, 5th Foundation day of Mata Homeo Clinic, Diagnostics and Research Centre (MHCDR) for fungal infection and allergy was celebrated under the presidency of Dr.B.N.Singh, Director Homeopathy, in the presence of various scientists, homoeopaths and Govt. Officers from reputed institute in Lucknow. After deep prajwalan and malaarpan on Sir HAHNEMANN statue by Dr.B.N.Singh. and other honorable members, on line version of an international journal “JOURNAL OF RECENT ADVANCES IN APPLIED SCIENCES” ISSN 0970 1990 was inaugurated by Dr. R.C.Srivastava-retired scientist of Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IIRT). Dr.A.K.Srivastava-Director MHCDR is nominated as chief Editor of Journal in place of Prof. K.G.Mukerji –Department of Botany Lucknow University Delhi who died suddenly in Delhi. Dr.R.C.Srivastava said it is an open access journal and any scientist working in the field of Biological, Chemical, Environmental and Medical Sciences can review on internet ( and publish their research paper in this.

According to Dr. A.K. Srivastava- outstanding Medical Mycologist and Director MHCDR, fungal infections of skin, hair, nail and oral has increased at an alarming signal ,Causes of such unwelcome increase of fungal infections are long term use of antibiotics, increase interest in oral sex , frequent use of Pan masala and improper disposal garbage and hospital waste in city. A study carried on 140 patients at MHCDR, Candida albicans is most common pathogen causing Candidiasis (diseases name) almost in every organ of human body. Percent prevalence of Candidiasis is 42.01 percent followed by Dermatophytosis (22,95%) and Aspergillosis (7.47%). Candidiasis is an opportunistic infection found to be associated with Leucoderma, Psoriasis and Diabetes. Patient with diabetes should be very careful for skin fungal infection because they are more prone in comparison to healthy patients. Diagnosis was based on KOH mount, Direct culture and hypersensitivity test (intra-dermal ) or Prick test with sterilized diluted culture filtrate). Several cases were presented with pre and post treatment photographs of patients. Dr. Srivastava, said fungal infections can be fully cured by allopathic and homeopathic drugs but culture is necessary for their diagnosis and treatment, Dr. Srivastava also briefed in vitro antimycotic properties of homoeopahic drugs. In view of toxicity homeopathic treatment is far better from allopathic treatment of fungal infections. Excessive Hair fall (diffuse and Patchy) is an other example of fungal infection which is most common hair disorder, is being complaint by more than 80 percent of persons. A research study conducted at MHCDR under Dr.A.K.Srivastava explores major cause of such hair loss is mental stress particularly anxiety, depression and disappointment. however second major cause is fungal infection in scalp and hair which causes diffuse and patchy hair loss. To control such hair loss MHCDR has developed a new formulation of homeopathic medicine which prevents hair loss, dandruff and itching. Limitation of hair growth is age factor, best results may be obtained within the age of 35. Dr. Srivastava sugested some tips tp prevent fungal infection as follow:

1. Do not share your personal belongings like undergarments and towels, even with family members ? Wear loose cotton clothes to let the skin breathe, during the monsoon and summer months

2. Do not keep shoes on for a long period of time and don't wear damp socks

3. Dry your feet carefully after a bath or a swim ? Adopt the correct posture to avoid the skin from folding. These folds tend to trap sweat ? Powder the body with an anti-fungal powder

4. Bathe twice a day during the summer months

Dr. S. C. Srivastava, Senior Scientist IITR explored his experiences at MHCDR to control swine flue with homeopathic drugs. Dr.Srivastava said symptoms of H1N1 virus infected people are almost identical to the common flue influenza. Thus it is very difficult to differentiate on symptoms basis. But treated with homeopathic drugs it takes two week to complete withdrawals of symptoms. Infuenzinum 30 200, Euphatorium perp 30, Byonia 200 , Gelsemium 30 and Aconite 200 are common drugs which are useful in curing viral flue.

Dr. Sehendra Shukla – presented a paper on BHP-Enlargement of prostate and said BHP is very common old age disease no surgery is required if treated with homeopathic drugs from early stage. Dr. Shukla Said Person suffering from prostate enlargement should go for ultrasound and PSA test before starting treatment.

In last Dr.R.C.Srivastava -has concluded the session and stated that MHCDR is an excellent association of scientists and Homoeopaths and he appreciated the scientific endeavors made by MHCDR in advancing the Homoeopathy. He also appreciated the efforts of Dr.A.K.Srivastava , Director MHCDR and team who have developed new homeopathic drugs for the treatment of hair fall, mycoses and allergy. And the function is ended with vote of thanks by Nimanshi srivastava BHMS student of Bakson College, Greater Noida.
